1. Conduct of Examination
Higher Secondary Examination is conducted twice in a year
1. Higher Secondary examinations, March / April
2. Higher Secondary Special Supplementary Examinations, June / July
2. Scheme of Examination
Examination will be conducted for the following subjects on the dates fixed by the Director of Government Examinations.
The syllabus and Text Books are prescribed by the Director of School Education for 11th and 12th Standard (State Board).
· Permitted medium for Part III subjects are Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Urdu & English. · Question papers will be provided only in Tamil and English.
However question papers for the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics, History, Commerce, Economics and Accountancy will also be provided in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Urdu Medium (For 10 important subjects-6 medium is provided).
3. Award of Certificate
Candidates securing 35 marks each in all the six subjects out of 100 (even compartmentally) are eligible for award of Higher Secondary First Year / Second Year Certificates.
